A class-action federal lawsuit was filed Wednesday against Coors and Miller beers on behalf of more than 100 people who were allegedly issued invalid codes for an ongoing sweepstakes.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court, claims the companies began “The Coors Light Silver Ticket Sweepstakes” on Aug. 1 to increase sales of its products but incorrectly issued invalid codes, which did not allow consumers to enter the sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes began on Aug. 1. and is scheduled to continue until Oct. 31, according to the suit. The grand prize is two tickets to a 2009 regular-season NFL game and the first prize is a $100 NFLShop.com gift certificate.
